I’ve always been afraid of singing and performing in front of other people. I thought I just wasn’t good enough anyway, so, why bother? But I like it so much. And since my reincarnation last year, I’ve been feeling like I can do absolutely anything I wanted to!

The guitar players!
Last Friday, my friends, Ewa, Helen, Ira, Tina, Egle and I were hanging out at the steps in Tsim Sha Tsui Harbor, and there was a group of guitar players nearby. They played really well and while we were just there sitting, I was feeling like I wanted to join them somehow, but I was afraid. Again, I was afraid. Finally, when they started to play a song we all recognized, Mr. Big’s “To Be With You,” we all sang the chorus together and it was great. And I felt like it was okay, I have nothing to be afraid of. I’ve got nothing to lose. In the spirit of doing “one thing everyday that scares you,” I wanted to sing… And I did!
“Don’t Look Back In Anger” by Oasis. Perfect song for this momentous occasion.
It’s definitely not an award-winning performance. But it’s a start.
Good thing I had my phone with me and there was free Wifi so I was able to go online to get lyrics! We sang about 4 songs I think… “Creep” by Radiohead was one of them. We even tried “Smells Like Teenspirit” by Nirvana, it was hard to sing that! The others were bits and pieces of other English songs.
Thank you so much, Egle, for taking a video of this!!!
P.S. Ewa left early and missed my singing debut, hahaha! I will sing and play guitar again.
Oh! At Tina’s birthday party!

Silly sign, but helpful ;P
